What the shuck is happening?
Opinion writer Jalen-Thomas Kroger argues that individuals should stop glorifying celebrities. Idolizing celebrities has adverse societal effects, and certain fan devotion can led to extreme measures, such as when there was increased security at Megan Thee Stallion's mom's grave following the online dispute between the rapper and Nicki Minaj. Redirecting attention and admiration towards real relationships and self-love is a much better use of time and energy.
UNL’s Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design department is sending 40 student designers to showcase their designs on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at Omaha Fashion Week. Two student designers, Aylana Goodwin and Inas Hskan, will return for their second and third time at OFW this year with a focus on sustainability. The two have worked hard to create new and innovative designs and are even both using recycled denim in their creations. |
