The Super Bowl is a time for friends and family to get together, eat junk food and watch the big football game. Last night, UNL students spent their evenings with loved ones while they cheered on for the 49ers and Chiefs. Whichever route they took, last night was a testament to how the Super Bowl brings people together.

Head coach Amy Williams hailed the win as a pivotal moment for Nebraska women's basketball. The game saw back-and-forth action, with Nebraska's defense adjustments proving crucial in securing the win. Amidst a nationwide trend of rolling back diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in educational institutions, Nebraska faces a pivotal moment with LB 1330. Introduced by Senator Dave Murman, the bill aims to terminate DEI programs and training at public institutions. The proposed legislation has sparked intense debate among students and university representatives, who fear its broad language could drastically alter DEI efforts and educational environments. The hearing for the bill will take place on Feb. 13. |
