ASUN met Wednesday to approve funds for the spring concert, promote dietary restriction training and reinstate the Safe Ride program. Appropriation bill #4 allocates up to $50,000 to UPC to cover a portion of the cost of the artist for the spring concert, and government bill #34 will work with UNL Dining Services to require additional training for its employees on dietary restrictions. Additionally, GB #35 reinstates the Safe Ride Program in partnership with the Alcohol and Other Drug Education team.

After securing a win at the Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs hosted a victory parade and rally on Feb. 14. At the rally, gunfire broke out, leading to one person's death and 22 people being injured. With this NFL team being so close to home, many UNL students root for the Chiefs, and several even attended the parade. Several students share their reactions and experiences being there, leading the conversation back to safety within crowds and gun control in America.

The Daily Nebraskan Show on 93.7 The Ticket aired last night with Ben Drozd and Anthony Rubek hosting. They talked all things men’s hoops, previewed Nebraska’s big road game against Ohio State and looked at the Big Ten as a whole. The Daily Nebraskan Show will return tonight at 11 p.m.
