Omaha native Jim Fields has spent the last 25 years pursuing his passion of filmmaking. He has written, directed and produced six films and is currently in the process of filming another. His upcoming film is a documentary about Nebraskan rock bands from 1956 to 1996 who performed original music, and he expects it to be released at some point in 2025. Fields focuses all his films around Midwest living and has made several films centered around LGBTQ+ experiences. Out of his six films, Field has produced four documentaries and two features.
