The second week back on campus saw a mix of incidents keeping UNLPD busy. From a reported gas leak in Abel Hall turning out to be a prank with stink spray, to a non-affiliate arrested for alleged narcotics sale during a traffic stop yielding over a pound of marijuana, the week brought its share of surprises.
As Nebraska prepares for the upcoming election, citizens have the opportunity to influence legislation directly through ballot initiatives on contentious issues like abortion, taxation, marijuana legalization and paid sick leave. With young voters encouraged to participate in the democratic process, the outcome of these initiatives will have significant implications for the state's future.

The Daily Nebraskan show returned last night on 93.7 The Ticket with Ben Drozd and Joseph Maier hosting. On the show, they reacted to last night’s women’s basketball game against Michigan with writer Rachel Miller, previewed tonight’s big men’s hoops game against Northwestern, and talked a little baseball and softball with the season starting soon.
