The Nebraska Legislature Health and Human Services Committee heard testimony Wednesday for two bills concerning youth transgender rights, both introduced by State Sen. Kathleen Kauth. LB574 would prohibit doctors from performing gender altering procedures for minors; LB575 would require bathrooms and sports teams for minors to be designated on the basis of biological sex.
