What the shuck is happening?
In a survey conducted by The Daily Nebraskan, 49% of respondents said they have felt unsafe on campus. In addition to this statistic, 39.8% said they have been catcalled, and 8% said they have had to call for help. In order to combat this issue, students propose better lighting around campus, self-defense classes and more education around the Husker Safe Walks.
Brother2Brother, an organization that seeks to build a sense of belonging for men and nonbinary students of color, will host a symposium on Friday, April 23 from noon to 3 p.m. focused on the 3 m's of mental health, money management and masculinity. Anyone on campus that identifies as male or nonbinary can participate but must register by 9 a.m. on April 23.
Nebraska's distance running is on the edge of a major transition. Junior George Kusche, the Huskers' imperator, is transferring at the end of the year. With an encore in sight, the team focuses not only on having a successful last year with its talisman, but making sure there is potential after he leaves.
