In partnership with the national News Literacy Project, a group of UNL students have joined together to promote news literacy to young adults in rural Nebraska. According to their own survey, more than half of rural young adults get their news from social media or word-of-mouth.
On early Wednesday evening, the Lincoln community and UNL students gathered to celebrate the 10th year of the Arabic Studies program at UNL in Burnett Hall. Speakers reflected on the presence of Arabic language classes across the NU system and discussed the possibility of expanding their presence across Lincoln Public Schools.
