Opinion columnist Emma Krab doesn’t want to berate or shame you. She just wants to let you know what your next steps should be, because your actions in the next following days will determine if you are a ripple or a splash in the post-Halloweekend coronavirus wave. She encourages you to shrink your circle of interaction, watch yourself for symptoms and encourage those closest to you to do the same.
Jordan Stump, UNL professor of French, was awarded the 2020 National Translation Award in Prose for his translation of "The Cheffe: A Cook's Novel,' by Marie NDiaye, beating out over 250 other contestants. Along with the $2,500 prize, Stump will be honored at the American Literary Translators Association annual conference.
For many students, Nov. 3 marks the first chance to vote in a presidential election. As the day approaches, these students reflect on the opportunity to cast a ballot.
