Daily Nebraskan editors detail personal testing experiences and discuss hopes for new COVID team

The COVID team will be The Daily Nebraskan’s new way of covering the coronavirus on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Amid many questions and countless uncertainties, editors and co-leads of this new team Zach Wendling and David Berman sit down to describe their hopes for the team moving forward.

Culture reporter Alyssa Johnson breaks down the best masks to wear without sacrificing style.

The step dance company Step Afrika! hopes to teach history through the virtual premiere of its dance movie “Stono” at the Lied Center for Performing Arts on Wednesday, Sep. 9 at 7 p.m. A virtual Q&A session will follow the film.

"Given the relatively stealthy nature of this disease, the university higher-ups must know that many cases will slip through unnoticed, with affected individuals going to class unaware that they are spreading a potentially fatal sickness. If they were dead-set on having in person classes, beyond masks and hand sanitizer, testing all students should have been a top priority," Brock Calamari writes.
