NU Flashback: 1940 Huskers break through for program’s first bowl appearance

Each week, The Daily Nebraskan will look to fill the void of no football season by examining a previous season in program history, looking at key moments, players or storylines. Last week, the stroll down memory lane revisited the inaugural 1890 season. On the docket this week is the 1940 edition of NU football.

SISNEROS: The purpose of dating in your 20s isn’t always to get married

The truth is that dating at our age isn’t going to end up with “happily ever afters” and riding off into the sunset arm in arm with our soulmate every time we swipe on a cute pic or go get coffee with a stranger. In fact, that might only happen once when we are a lot older, wiser and psychologically developed. 

Seventeen percent of Nebraskans will be food insecure by the end of the year, an increase of approximately 5% since 2019. We must be aware of food insecurity within our communities, especially during these trying times.
