What the shuck is happening?
Not many students know much about the Extreme Light Laboratory at UNL, but it is home to one of the most powerful lasers in the nation. The Diocles laser is being used to study developments in x-ray technology that can be applied to areas of medicine, military and defense.
Take Note, one of UNL's female a cappella groups, has had to space out and mask up to continue harmonizing in person. Despite the psychological toll this has taken on its members, the group released its first recording on Halloween.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln honored George Flippin, UNL's first Black athlete, by placing stickers with Flippin's name on every player's helmet. Flippin's story is one of overcoming racism and prejudice that symbolizes not only his time, but ongoing strife in America.
