What the shuck is happening?
Despite the recent surge of female directors in the film industry, women in the movie business are still few and far between and face obstacles like pay disparity. Film students and staff at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts present thoughts and possible solutions for the lack of female film professionals.
Moments away from the season opener, Nebraska men's gymnastics had it stolen away from it by the shutdown of the Michigan athletic department. Since then, the Huskers have found positives in their extended break, but are ready to finally compete once more. Read about their preparations here.
With the three-week sessions over winter break being popular with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln students, The Daily Nebraskan set out to ask students if they wanted to keep this experimental schedule for future years.
On this week's Cinebraskans episode, co-hosts Kyle Kruse and David Berman discuss the history and future of comic-book and superhero television, ranging from the 60's "Batman" series to "Arrow," "WandaVision" and "The Boys."
"To me, time seems like a leaky faucet. My elementary days were creeping drips, coming out slowly and carefully, one drop at a time. After I passed middle school the water pressure amped up. Since moving out of my parents’ house, the years have been pouring out, flooding rooms and soaking floors like someone ripped the spigot off completely."
