Making sense of the COVID chaosđź’˘

What the shuck is happening?

After a chaotic year, students look back at life before the pandemic in hopes of giving their past selves advice. In this reflective piece, The Daily Nebraskan asked campus-goers: "If you could go back a year ago to give yourself advice, what would you tell yourself?"

Judi Jones' incredible run from Nebraska track and field walk-on to the Big Ten's best athlete in the steeplechase surprised everybody but herself. Athletic success (and even appearances on the Bachelorette) runs in the Jones family, and fifth-year senior Judi is looking to turn a successful final season into an Olympic appearance

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln does not plan to require students to get a COVID-19 vaccination before the fall 2021 semester. Reporter Carly Jahn spoke to UNL students for their thoughts, feelings and concerns about the decision as the campus prepares for a fall that will look closer to a pre-pandemic normal.

Tune into this week’s episode of “The Game” — things get a little competitive. You’ll meet the partners of co-hosts Haley Elder and Graham Guenette, as Johnna Sisneros tests how well they actually know each other with a game of questions. The couple with the most points wins a secret prize, courtesy of Johnna.

“All of these insecurities really find themselves connecting back to The Daily Nebraskan. I’ve spent my entire college career here. This is my home. This is where I made friends and developed as a person and as a photographer. And I don’t know what I’m going to do without it.”
