WNBA star Brittney Griner is still detained indeterminately in Russia, where she plays and makes quadruple her WNBA salary playing Russian professional basketball in the offseason. Senior opinion editor Sydney Miller argues that the NBA needs to provide more funding to its sister league so players like Griner don't have to play overseas.

Ten appropriations bills will be voted on during the Wednesday ASUN meeting. Resolutions 12 and 13 will also be discussed for approval.
