Nebraska women’s basketball may have fallen a little short of its lofty preseason expectations this season. But they managed a postseason appearance for a second season in a row, and the recently announced return of star senior guard Jaz Shelley sets the Huskers up for a strong 2023-24 campaign.

April Fools' Day came and went, and while some businesses in Lincoln took part in the fun, some students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln reported being left un-pranked.

“One of my good friends texted me on April 1 that her bunny died, and she is the type of person who would pull an April Fools prank. I was determined not to fall for the prank. I was telling her ‘I know you're pranking me. Your bunny didn’t die.’ Turns out the bunny actually died, and then I felt really bad,” said Sydney Collins, a freshman biological sciences major.

The athletics department campus construction has been hard to ignore the last couple years, especially if you’ve attended a football game. But another of their projects, tucked away near the Devaney Center, has been neglected and left unfinished because of low funds. Columnist Brian Beach believes the storied UNL track team deserves the facility they were promised – or at least enough infrastructure to host a home meet.
